A disability makes living more challenging than it would otherwise be. However, some individuals continue to live independent lives despite their disability. The greatest strength of these individuals with disabilities is their self-confidence, and their bravery makes them famous and successful.


1. Abhishek Bacchan

Nature of disability: Dyslexia

Abhishek Bachchan is an Indian actor and director of motion pictures.

Since he was young, he had to deal with dyslexia-related challenges. At the age of nine, dyslexia was identified as his condition. When Abhishek began acting in Hollywood, he became famous. His performance was well-received by critics in movies like Yuva (2004), Sarkar (2005), and Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna (2006). Three Filmfare Awards for Best Supporting Performer have already been given to Abhishek. For directing the movie Paa, he was also given the National Film Award for Outstanding Feature Film in Hindi (2009).


2. Ira Singhal

Nature of Disability: Scoliosis


Ira Singhal is an IAS officer who placed first on the 2014 UPSC test. Ira was born in Meerut on August 31, 1983. She received a degree in computer science and a dual. MBA from the University of Delhi's School of. Management Studies in marketing and finance.


3. Lalit Kumar Samyak Lalit

Nature of Disability: Both the legs affected by polio walk with the help of crutches.


Lalit Kumar, also known as Samyak Lalit, is the owner of the Dashmalav YouTube account and a polio survivor. Lalit is a well-known television show among Indians with disabilities, with over 1,75,000 followers. He is the president of the Evara Foundation and a prominent advocate for handicap rights. One of the greatest inspirational books ever written in Hindi, Vitamin Zindagi, was written by Lalit and details his experience living with polio in India.

He has appeared on numerous occasions on national television, radio, newspapers, periodicals, and websites. He is a National Award (Role Model) winner for Persons with Disabilities.



4. Jyoti Amge

Nature of Disability: Dwarfism


Jyoti is the youngest lady in the world, according to the Guinness Book of World Records. She has made numerous Broadcast appearances. Her short stature is a result of the hereditary condition achondroplasia. She being a differently abled person set an example to grow with hurdles by fighting them through her positivity and determination.





5. Suresh H.Advani

Nature of Disability: Legs affected with polio


Life and Career: India's first hematopoietic stem cell transfusion was performed by renowned oncologist Dr. Suresh H. Advani. Dr. Advani, a recipient of the Padma Bhushan honour, contracted polio at the age of eight. He received his MBBS and MD degrees from the Grant Medical College in Bombay.






6. Bharat Kumar

Nature of Disability: Born without left armlife and Career:


Bharat is a para-swimmer who has earned more than 50 medals and two international titles. He has taken part in competitions in many different nations including those in England, Ireland, Netherlands, Malaysia, and China. Bharath, a daily wage worker's son, has overcome obstacles like destitution and a physical impairment to establish himself through amazing feats.



7. Preethi Srinivasan

Nature of Disability: Quadriplegic


Preethi was the captain of the Tamil Nadu women's cricket squad under the age of 19. In 1997 ,he led his squad to the national title. She was only 17 years old at the time! Preeti was unique in that she was a world-class diver. He earned the 50-meter breaststroke gold medal at the state level. Preeti was rendered a quadriplegic at the age of 18, totally paralysed from the neck down, as a result of an accident. However, the victor stayed victor in love. In order to restore, rehabilitate, and reintegrate individuals with fatal spinal cord injuries, she created SoulFree. SoulFree also tries to educate Indian youth about how to avoid suffering such wounds.


8. H. Boniface Prabhu

Nature of Disability: Quadriplegic

H. Boniface Prabhu is an Indian wheelchair tennis

player who has won the Padma Shri honour.

He was born in Bengaluru on May 14, 1972.

He became quadriplegic at the age of four

due to a visible lumbar tumour. Shot put

and javelin throwing were the first sports he

participated in. At the UK's 1996 World

Wheelchair Games, Prabhu earned a gold

medal in shotput and a silver medal in

discuss throw. He is the country' first gold

winner at an international paralympic event. In 1998, he switched his attention to wheelchair

tennis and took home a gold. His career-high world standings in singles are 17 and doubles

are 19, respectively.



          9.Sudha Chandran

Nature of Disability: Amputation in right leg.


Indian cinema and television actress. On

September 27, 1965, Sudha Chandran was

born. In May 1981, when he was 16 years old, he was in a car mishap. His right leg had to be

amputated as a consequence. With the Telugu

movie "Mayuri," which was based on her own story, she made her acting debut. Later, the movie was translated into Malayalam and Tamil.


The Hindi remake of "Mayuri" was released later that year under the name "Nache Mayuri." The protagonist of Nache Mayuri's tale, Mayuri,

ultimately learns to dance once more and acquires the Jaipur Foot.



         10. Ravindra Jain

Nature of Disability: Blind since birth


Life and career: Indian music writer, lyricist,

and singer Ravindra Jain (28 February 1944 –

9 October 2015) was a seasoned artist. He

wrote the soundtrack for countless Hindi

movies and TV shows. Even today, people still

enjoy his songs from movies like Ram Teri

Ganga Maili, Chitchor, Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon

Se, Mehndi, and Geet Gaata Chal as well as

TV shows like Ramayana.
