Gadar 2 Trailer came on the floors on July 26, 2023, and fans couldn’t
wait to express their affection towards the sequel to the 2001 blockbuster
‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’. The trailer looks promising, as the makers have
maintained the old vibe of the movie by continuing the story and roles. Sunny
Deol as Tara Singh can be seen with the same look and action-filled avatar,
while Ameesha Patel as Sakeena is still carrying the same innocence and
expression of purity.
The film runs in the present, carrying the continuation of the story of
its first part. The trailer starts with Pakistanis protesting against India
while repeating ‘Agla Jumma Diili Me’. The story continues with the war between
India and Pakistan, where Utkarsh Sharma plays Jette, who is kidnapped by the
Pakistan army, and Tara Singh promises Sakeena to rescue their son as he goes
back from India to Pakistan. The trailer is filled with the action of Sunny Deol
as he is seen with a sledgehammer, fighting with the Pakistani army and other
rivals who come in the way. Sunny is also seen staring at handpump, which we
already know why. Director Anil Sharma’s
son Utkarsh as Jette, who is seen as a grown-up now in the trailer, shows his
fearless persona carrying the bravery of his father, Tara Singh. Jette
challenges the Pakistani army with rage and belief to save themselves from his
father.
Utkarsh as Jette has brought emotions and rage to his face, which is
applauded by the audience. He has also maintained the pace and feel of the dialogues,
which can’t be ignored. Simrat Kaur, as Muskan, will be seen opposite Utkarsh
Sharma in the movie.
Fans still get the old feel of Sakeena and Tara’s romance, as the
chemistry between them is pure and lovely, reprising the old bond, and Tara
Singh still calls Sakeena ‘Madam Ji’.
The other amazing thing that the makers have done is recreating the old
songs of the movie’s first part, like ‘Mai nikla gaddi leke’ and ‘Ud ja kaale
kawa’ with the original singer, Udit Narayan, maintaining the originality,
purity, and authentic feel of the song, which is being applauded on social
media.
Though the much-awaited trailer has everything fans wanted without
touching the real essence of the movie, some fans also expected a little
freshness in the movie, which is somewhere missing. Fans are also missing the
late Amrish Puri's non-replaceable role as Ashraf Ali in the movie.
Overall, the trailer for Gadar 2 is promising, and fans can’t wait for
August 11th to relive the old moments of the movie's first part with their family
and friends.
